The mission of the La Grande Farmers' Market is to enhance the economic sustainability of our region's farms by providing a venue for the exchange of quality locally grown goods while creating a vibrant community gathering place.
We at LGFM engage in active inclusivity, respect, and support for all people from all walks of life.
LGFM welcomes all persons, including applicants and employees, to the market regardless of age, gender, gender identity, disability, national origin, race, religion, or veteran status. Any action that is not in keeping with a welcoming environment (assault, harassment, and intimidation) will not be tolerated by the organization. Any violation of this policy should be immediately reported to the market manager and/or board. Any person exhibiting behavior that is unwelcoming will be asked to leave the market immediately. Any vendor who exhibits unwelcoming behavior may be suspended or banned from the market, at the discretion of the market manager.
Meet the Assistant Manager!
There’s a newish face behind the table on Tuesday markets, our Assistant Manager Meghan Moore. Meghan works primarily to manage the Tuesday market and supports Saturday market as needed. She brings a passion for local food and is excited to help LGFM grow.
In her personal life she enjoys trail running, finding free fruit and figuring out how to live in a converted school bus with her family.
Come say hi to Meghan!

Say Hi to one of our amazing volunteers!
This, ladies and gents, is Lance Nielsen. He is the husband of Candi, our Farmers Market manager. You will see him at the Info Booth in his signature green Market shirt handing out tokens and taking payments and being an all-around great help at the market.
Lance is from Union, Oregon and grew up there after living in all kinds of places in Oregon, as his dad was in road construction. His family settled on a beautiful piece of property above the Union Cemetary, where they raised sheep, chickens, horses, turkeys, and had an amazing garden each year. He and his wife (Candi) and their 2 daughters moved to La Grande in 1997, where they raised their family. Lance is an EOU graduate (class of 2019) and loves spending time fishing, hunting, and traveling.
Please be sure to stop by and say HI to Lance!!
